CRYSTAL COVE I

Crystal Cove, Newport Beach, 2012. This collection of psychedelic alien rocks protects the funky sea creatures living in and around them. Tide pools are filled with sea anemones, hermit crabs, and the occasional sea star.

Step out to the beach and step back in time. Protection is worth something here and conservation seems to be working. We leave the rocks, shells and especially the sea creatures as they are. One could be a home and the other could be a meal.

I spent an hour where I have spent days and I am still thirsty.

The landscape is a prima dona and demands more attention.

I will return, many times. Stay tuned.
